The Assistant Bar Manager supports the Beverage Manager in overseeing all bar operations, ensuring high service standards, guest satisfaction, and compliance with safety and hygiene regulations (USPH, HESS, ECP). Responsibilities include supervising bar openings/closings, managing inventory and cost control, handling guest complaints, training and scheduling staff, and supporting special events setups. The role also involves enforcing efficient workflows, maintaining professional standards, and contributing to revenue targets while promoting a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role in beverage management within high-volume, multi-outlet operations; cruise ship experience preferred.
- A degree in Hotel Management or equivalent is desirable, though substantial experience may substitute.
- Strong knowledge of international cocktails, bar operations, and standard procedures is essential.
- Proficiency in POS systems (e.g., Micros), MS Office, Outlook, and inventory tools like MMS is required.
- Must have a proven track record of successfully leading large, multicultural teams.
- Additional certifications such as Barmaster or Barmixer Diploma are a plus.
