The Bar Utility is responsible for maintaining bar cleanliness and operational support to ensure smooth beverage service. Key duties include cleaning and organizing bar areas to USPH, VSP, and HACCP standards, preparing drink garnishes, collecting and delivering provisions, and distributing and sanitizing glassware and bar equipment. The role supports efficient bar operations by maintaining stock levels (ice, fruits, utensils), minimizing breakage, and ensuring proper equipment sanitation. Strong teamwork with F&B staff and adherence to hygiene, safety, and waste management protocols are essential. Flexibility and readiness to assist as directed by supervisors are also required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Bar Back or Bar Utility; shipboard experience preferred.
  • Background in F&B sector with basic service knowledge and techniques.
  • Familiarity with liquor brands and basic cocktail preparation.
  • Ability to identify and handle various types of glassware.
  • Cleaning experience and attention to hygiene standards preferred.
