The Bartender supports the Beverage Manager in ensuring smooth, efficient operations across all bar areas, including guest lounges, restaurants, events, and crew zones. Key duties include preparing and serving drinks to company standards, leading and training bar staff, promoting up-selling and themed offerings, and maintaining strict hygiene standards in compliance with USPH, VSP, and HACCP. The role also involves inventory monitoring, cost control, managing equipment and ambiance, organizing group functions, delivering beverage seminars, and completing daily opening and closing procedures to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years in a bartender or similar role within a premium hospitality or bar setting; shipboard experience required. Leadership experience and flair bartending are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of wines, spirits, international cocktails, and bar operations. Knowledge of public health regulations (e.g., USPH) is essential.
  • Completed hotel/restaurant apprenticeship preferred. Barmixer Diploma or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Excellent English communication, guest service focus, and ability to lead and train bar crew.
  • Professional appearance, outgoing personality, high hygiene standards, stress resilience, and strong work ethic.
  • Minimum age 21, physically fit, able to carry heavy items and work on feet for extended periods.
