Responsible for planning, setting up, facilitating, and participating in a wide range of guest activities and entertainment events, including themed parties, trivia, bingo, sporting games, pool and island games, and ship tours. Acts as assistant emcee for onboard events, introducing entertainment hosts and speakers while creating an energetic, engaging atmosphere using a microphone and stage presence. Engages guests of all ages with enthusiasm, providing support to other entertainment staff. Responsibilities may also include learning scripted material and performing basic choreography. Maintaining order and cleanliness in activity areas, assisting with safety drills, and ensuring a fun, safe, and memorable cruise experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in entertainment, public relations, guest services, or a related field.
- Proven hosting and stage experience, with strong public speaking and microphone skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational abilities.
- Engages well with diverse audiences and demonstrates a passion for entertaining.
- Team-oriented, detail-focused, flexible, and committed to guest satisfaction.
- Ability to learn and perform dance routines, especially in a club-style setting.
- Capable of lifting and moving heavy equipment and boxes.
- Experience with sound/DJ equipment is a plus.
- Comfortable performing with special effects such as smoke, haze, fog, and pyrotechnics.
