The Culinary Admin provides essential clerical and administrative support to the Executive Chef, ensuring confidentiality and the highest level of accuracy. Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining electronic records, managing data retrieval systems, and compiling voyage reports, meal counts, dietary needs, and crew lists. The role supports daily galley operations by coordinating attendance records, posting menus, and tracking travel change requests. Additional duties involve managing email communication for the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, taking meeting minutes, and welcoming new crew members. The Culinary Admin ensures effective communication, promotes a positive work environment, and supports ongoing safety, training, and compliance efforts within the culinary department.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar administrative role, either on cruise ships or land-based operations, is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of food preparation and menu planning is beneficial.
