An Engine Storekeeper is responsible for the efficient management of engineering and deck stores, including inventory control, storage, and supply logistics. Duties include maintaining accurate stock levels in the AMOS or InfoSHIP systems, receiving and inspecting incoming spare parts and consumables, and ensuring all items are safely stored, labeled, and organized. The Storekeeper assists with requisitions, budget control, and landing goods documentation, while also coordinating closely with the Chief Engineer and relevant officers. As the sole key holder of assigned stores, they ensure controlled access, cleanliness, and compliance with safety and health regulations and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in technical storekeeping, preferably on large vessels.
  • Proficiency in planned maintenance systems, especially AMOS M\&P, including procurement functions.
  • Strong warehousing and inventory management skills with attention to accuracy and reliability.
  • Experience with electronic data processing systems and MS Office Suite.
  • High standard of honesty, integrity, and accountability in managing stores and stock.
  • Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to enforce stock control systems and procedures effectively.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work independently or with a team as required.
