The Housekeeping Utility Floor Care role is responsible for the routine maintenance and deep cleaning of all hard and carpeted floor surfaces throughout the vessel, including restaurants, lounges, youth and entertainment areas, the medical center, crew and officer bars and mess, and accommodation corridors. The role also involves the upkeep and repair of floor care equipment such as buffers and shampoo machines. Additional duties include assisting with luggage operations during embarkation and debarkation, sorting and staging luggage, maintaining cleaning supply inventories, and supporting the housekeeping team with cabin cleaning and other tasks as directed by the Assistant Housekeeping Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of cleaning or janitorial experience, including safe use of cleaning chemicals.
  • Proficient in operating floor cleaning equipment, with knowledge of floor care techniques and preventative maintenance.
  • Background in a high guest service–focused environment preferred.
  • Highly flexible with availability for both day and night shifts.
  • Physically fit, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive bending and movement tasks.
