The IT Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of all assigned Hotel IT systems, providing first-level support, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Reporting to the IT Officer, the role involves maintaining servers, client systems, network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN), POS devices, digital signage, VoIP systems, office IT equipment (e.g., printers, scanners), and public IT devices. Duties include inspecting hardware/software, handling spare part orders, supporting project implementation, managing system availability, conducting failure analysis, and maintaining IT security. The technician tracks issues via a ticket system, manages inventory of critical parts, and upholds strict health and safety protocols on board.

Qualifications

  • Completed apprenticeship in IT or equivalent qualification; bachelor's degree in computer science.
  • Experience with current operating systems, especially Microsoft Windows.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of IP-based networks and network components.
  • Basic skills in maintaining and repairing office equipment.
  • Strong command of English, including technical IT terminology.
  • Solid understanding of IT systems and related technologies.
  • Experience supporting user helpdesk tasks.
  • Capable of diagnosing and repairing IT hardware and software issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a multinational environment.
