The Fine Jewellery/Watch Sales Specialist is responsible for maximizing sales of fine jewellery and watches while delivering exceptional customer service onboard. This includes utilizing advanced sales techniques, conducting professional product seminars, coordinating promotions and trunk shows, and confidently closing high-ticket sales. The role involves maintaining attractive visual merchandising, supporting inventory control through accurate stock management and loss prevention procedures, and ensuring timely stock replenishment. Specialists are expected to be proactive in learning about new collections and trends. Additional duties include processing POS transactions accurately, maintaining secure handling of merchandise, and adhering to all company safety, health, and environmental policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of retail sales experience, preferably in fine jewellery or luxury watch sales.
  • High-end luxury retail background, with proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through exceptional guest service and relationship-building.
  • Strong product knowledge of fine jewellery, gemstones, and Swiss timepieces, often supported by certification or training.
  • Excellent communication skills in fluent English (additional languages e.g. German, Spanish, French are advantageous).
  • Ability to work onboard a cruise ship for extended contracts (e.g. 6 months), including living and working at sea.
  • Strong visual merchandising, POS system use, inventory and loss-prevention skills.
  • Comfortable performing in public settings, including hosting seminars or trunk shows and handling high-value transactions.
