The Linenkeeper is responsible for the efficient handling, distribution, and inventory control of all linens and towels onboard. Key duties include delivering, collecting, and storing linens, maintaining clean and organized linen lockers, and ensuring adequate supplies are available at all times. The role involves conducting regular physical inventories, tracking losses or damages, and verifying the cleanliness of laundered items. The Linenkeeper works closely with the Housekeeping, Laundry, and uniform teams. Compliance with safety and sanitation standards is essential, and the Linenkeeper may assume additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience preferred.
  • Warehouse or inventory control basic experience.
  • Past laundry experiences a plus.
  • Knowledge of textiles a plus.
  • Able to read, write and do basic mathematic.
  • Good knowledge of computer application.
  • Able to read an inventory spread sheet and numbers.
  • Able to push/lift at least 50 lbs.
