The Reservation and Sales Consultant is responsible for promoting and facilitating future cruise bookings through presentations, social events, and one-on-one consultations. Duties include maintaining and distributing cruise brochures, special offers, and excursion materials, ensuring they are accessible to guests. The role involves taking bookings, preparing related documentation, and liaising with the head office. The consultant hosts events, participates in cocktail parties, and delivers future cruise talks. They must be knowledgeable about ship operations, ports of call, and company products to assist guests effectively. The position also includes supporting embarkation/disembarkation and handling guest inquiries professionally and discreetly.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Cruise Sales Consultant or Manager.
- Prior shipboard experience is essential.
- Confident handling at least three different global cruise itineraries
- Proven track record of consistent and exemplary sales performance.
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills; additional language(s) a plus.
- Experienced in working independently and leading or collaborating with multi-cultural teams.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and able to perform well under pressure.
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in PC-based software, including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing systems.
