The Shore Excursion Manager is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and promoting all shore tours, ensuring smooth operations, guest satisfaction, and adherence to safety and service standards. Duties include managing tour logistics, coordinating with local tour operators, handling bookings, payments, and inventory of tickets and brochures. The manager presents port talks, manages guest feedback, ensures quality guides and escorts, and supervises the dispatch of tours. They also handle complaints, lead a multi-cultural team, ensure crew grooming and training standards, and liaise with other departments to coordinate schedules. The role includes administrative tasks, budgeting, sales, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and public health policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Tour Office or Shore Excursions Manager.
- Previous shipboard experience is required.
- Confident working with at least three different global itineraries.
- Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills; additional language skills such as German, Spanish or French are a plus.
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-cultural teams.
- Flexible, resilient, and a strong team player.
- Proficient in PC-based software including databases, spreadsheets, and word processing programs.
- Strong accounting and administrative skills preferred.
- Guest-focused with a positive attitude, professional appearance, and high hygiene standards.
- Thorough knowledge of Public Health Policies.
- Skilled in handling sensitive communication across all formats confidentially.
