The Shore Excursions Staff assists in planning, promoting, and executing shore excursion activities, ensuring smooth coordination, high guest satisfaction, and revenue generation. Responsibilities include selling and booking excursions, managing guest inquiries, escorting and monitoring tours, and collaborating with local tour operators. Staff also supports recreation operations, monitors pool and sports areas, and assists with equipment rentals. They maintain safety, public health standards, and company service protocols. Strong communication, guest service, and organizational skills are essential, along with active participation in safety training, emergency duties, and consistent upholding of the company’s image and service standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in shore excursions, tour operations, recreation, or guest services in a resort or cruise setting.
  • Prior shipboard experience and familiarity with multiple global itineraries required.
  • Proven ability in excursion sales and high-volume guest interaction.
  • Strong administrative, accounting, and computer skills (Microsoft Office, databases).
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills; knowledge of additional languages (Spanish/French) preferred.
  • Experience leading multi-cultural teams; strong team player with leadership and motivational skills.
  • Service-oriented with a positive, professional demeanor and excellent grooming.
  • Knowledge of public health policies and ability to handle confidential communication.
